Description
This is an antique country house dinner gong. An English, bobbin turned oak chime frame, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890.
Fascinatingly decorative gong, with a pleasing tone that displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout. Oak frame a treat of bobbin turning and superb colour. Quality bronze gong displays a lightly time worn appearance.
Charming shaped upper hosts a trio of small turned finials. Suspended upon leather straps, the gong sits neatly within the frame. Cloth covered striker, creating a pleasing, vibrato chime. Standing upon a pair of shaped trestle legs with four ball feet.
This is a delightful antique country house dinner gong, with a striking bobbin turned frame and pleasing bronze cymbal. Delivered ready to chime.
