Description
On offer is this fine antique French Grand Tour souvenir perfume bottle dating circa 1880 and standing 11.5 cm in height and measuring 6 cm in diameter at the base. This perfume bottle has a smooth rounded shaped body and is made of beautiful white opaline glass. The bottle has a decorative pierced gilt ormolu mount covering the shoulders. The hinged lid is scalloped and the top is set with a miniature eglomise watercolour painting with scenic Parisian view.

This antique perfume bottle is offered in good condition. There are no chips, cracks or fractures to the glass body. The neck of the bottle and the clear glass inner stopper are also undamaged. The lid has some age darkening that I have not polished. The painting to the top of the lid has good retained colours with no losses.
