Description
This is an unusual and collectable item of Edwardian sewing ware. This lovely piece has a pig terminal, mounted on multi layers of felt and was assayed at the sought after Chester Office. These pin or needle cushions are sometimes used as pen wipes and are rather difficult-to-find items. The lack of ink stains to the felt, indicate the former as the primary use. In antique silver the additional benefit of the pig as a terminal, will appeal to collectors of animal motifs, as well as having a practical use.
