Item of the Week - Scottish Mahogany Side / Work Table

For this weeks ‘Item of the Week’ we have chosen this highly attractive Scottish Mahogany Side Table / Work Table.  This Regency piece is made out of Mahogany and features some fine decorative detailing on the main body of the table.  Its handles are reminiscent of the sun in both appearance and colour and stand out beautifully against the rich shade of the wood. Its delicate legs also contribute towards its elegant appearance.  

This 19th Century table is a very practical piece as it has hinged drop leaf sides that can be elevated to make a larger table, or they can be folded down to create a smaller table.  Therefore, if you needed a greater surface space perhaps to work on, or if you wanted a smaller table for display purposes, for example to exhibit some flowers or a lamp, then you have either option to choose from. Another great feature on this table is the storage aspect, with the full sized drawer opening to reveal 3 smaller drawers inside, thus enabling you to keep a multitude of your possessions hidden away.
