Martlesham Antiques is a family run business and has been trading since 1984. We are located in Suffolk just outside Woodbridge and is run from a spacious thatched cottage housing nine large showrooms with a vast adjacent car park. Specialising in 18th and 19th century furniture, together with creating custom hand-made furniture which is supplied to various interior designers, trade and the retail market. Every piece on the showroom floor is in excellent condition and ready to go straight into the buyers home or premises. All of Martlesham Antiques furniture is hand polished by their own French polishers and restorers to a very high standard. We are also a member of LAPADA, the association of art and antiques.

Description
An exhibition quality 19th Century burr walnut mirror back credenza, the shaped mirror back top comprising of a large central mirror and two smaller mirrors either side, decorative arched top and shaped frame incorporating a large ormolu mount at the top and several smaller decorative mounts throughout the frame, intricate ormolu moulding along the edge of the central mirror and a shaped shelf either side on the smaller mirrors.
The bottom section having a lovely shaped and figured burr walnut top with a moulded edge, large central glazed door below with the same intricate ormolu moulding around the edge of the glass as above, opening to reveal a red velvet lined interior with two decorative shaped glass shelves, the cabinet having at either side a mirrored back compartment with two fixed shaped shelves with an ormolu moulded edge, the front of the cabinet having bold foliate ormolu mounts and the whole piece is raised upon a shaped plinth base.
Superb warm walnut colour and in excellent condition. Circa 1860.
