Antique Kashan Rug c.1920

Complex floral designs is the order of the day (if you like that kind of pattern) in this Kashan rug. Dark blue ground colour with central medallion and floral pendants. The main border has a dark blue trailing foliage design sandwiched between twin minor guard stripes. As usual with these rugs made with kurk wool giving a velvety feel to the pile and a reasonably high knot count. It has been hand washed and de-dusted,last images. All over even close clipped pile. there is a small discoloured area to the bottom right corner spandrel in the ivory colour. priced accordingly for that reason. all ends and sides are secure. **Over 29 images to peruse** Velvety wool pile hand knotted onto fine cotton foundations with the weft threads as usual in these rugs dyed light blue.
