Art Deco English 1930s Bentwood Armchair New Upholstery

This is a rather handsome bentwood armchair surviving from the 1930s. The shapely bentwood arms and little feet give the chair that Deco look and we have a decent length to the seat unlike some. Condition wise it’s good with new upholstery and age marks to the arms and frame. No movement in the frame and ready to place.This one possesses a little lever to one side which makes the chair rock lightly if you wish to have a little nap. It has just undergone a new and full professional reupholster by Mark using a wonderful Duresta soft moquette style fabric which is a perfect match for the period. A lovely fabric which pulls on images of trees and reflects the shape of the chair. Our base is a large Victorian 2 storey red brick barn on a wonderful traditionally run country estate in Staffordshire.
