Superb large Edwardian 18ct gold sapphire diamond marquise ring has a high quality dark deep blue sapphire marquise cut stone measuring 11mm x 4mm to the centre. The sapphire is surrounded by 16 old diamonds of between 2 and 3mm so at least 3 or points each totally at least 0.50ct minimum which are very bright white and sparkly. All the stones are very well set in a lovely old claw setting of the highest quality. The ring is in absolutely excellent antique condition and has a good weight. The shoulders have beautiful details and the hallmarks are clear for 18ct gold Chester 1908 and dates to the Edwardian period.
