Novelty early Edwardian antique silver match box holder, assayed at the Birmingham Office. This delightful and unusual collector's piece is in hallmarked silver and has the pun 'A match for you' embossed to the top. There is a cutaway to the sides to reveal the striker. The inner box is period. An interesting and decorative Edwardian collector's item. Maker:- James & William Dixon
