Fine Large Victorian 18inch Brass Trivet Footman William Tonks Brass

A Fine large and super quality Victorian brass trivet or footman by William Tonks and sons of Birmingham. The fretwork top with stylised sun design and scrolls, Standing on 4 turned legs. The reverse of the trivet is impressed with "WT&S" with the sun trade mark for 'William Tonks & Son of Birmingham'. Very well made and detailed as you would expect from such a good maker, Weight 3.7Kg.!!! Size 18 inches -45.5cm x 9 inches-23cm and standing 8 inches-20.5cm high. Will take a couple of Kettles or pans due to size and would look fine in any fireplace or inglenook. Shown with a 9 pint copper kettle to give scale the kettle is NOT included in the sale.
