For sale is this exceedingly rare and superb pair of sugar tongs, sugar nips, tea tongs, scissor style sugar tongs, (pick your favourite title).
Irish antique, period 1780 to 1820, bearing 2 hallmarks Hibernia and the Crowned Harp and a small fraction of a makers mark.
Ornate in structure and in decoration, small shell bowls more heart shape, to the inside of one of the arms close to the shell is a betrothal monogram, R over I S.
No repairs, all is good.
