Description
This is an interesting antique (c.1912) barograph, , which has a robust looking case in polished mahogany. This is only the third one of this type I have come across in 60 years - the previous two having had Scottish connections. The lift-off, all-glass lid has deep bevelled glass and there is a very slim two-compartment chart drawer to the base. The entire case has been professionally refurbished. The two large diaphragms have been tested and the mechanism, including the weekly clock, are all fully functioning.
This is a most compelling looking instrument which would be of interest to a collector or first time buyer.
A selection of weekly recording charts, a fresh bottle of recording ink and a reprinted Negretti & Zambra instruction pamphlet are included.
