a majestic large and impressive Edwardian bankers statement flame mahogany (Maple & Company London) bureau bookcase with an unusual stacking system cabinet top, the rigid bookcase top with 4 glazed sliding door compartments, crowned by a shaped cornice with carved acanthus leaves decoration of the finest quality, the corner sides carved with unusual overlapping scales designs, the fall front bureau below is well fitted with pigeon holes and drawers and still retaining its original brown tooled leather writing tops. Below are two draws with brass pull handles and cupboards with interior shelves,the doors are finely carved with half roundels and rosette bosses, terminating on finely carved majestic paw feet.
