We have often found small pieces of Masonic paraphernalia amongst items we save from the smelter or end up collecting as a result of buying other items. This is an amalgam of the last few years and is not a collection within the absolute meaning of the word. It is however full of interesting items that may be valuable to collectors or members of the communities). The following list is the total extent of items we have accumulated and we have no wish to inadvertently cause offence by selling it as a collection. 1. Jewel Bearing a ‘Chapter 29’ baron green and red ribbon, white 6 pointed star bearing a circular disc overlayed with ‘Honor’. Inscription to rear of star reads “Presented To Companion Andrew F. Demaine. M.E.R.A., Jan-June. 1958.” 2. A silver napkin ring with applied quartered shield bearing symbols including three legged icon, Lion Rampant, boat under sail and ‘Liver’ like bird. 3. Two x G Tutill's Sequin & Embroidered Metal Plaques on blue ground - Masonic Badges? 4. Solid Silver neck collar in right angled form - London 1950 by George Kenning & Son [58g] 5. condition
Overall condition is good although ribbons are in decline, but still present. Enamel is largely intact, but there are one or two with losses (see photograph).
