Pocket Watch: 1920s Thomas Russell Pocket Watch

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Thomas Russell & Son, Liverpool, 10 jewels, Swiss Made. Thomas Russell & Son was a well respected business having achieved a Royal Warrant as watch and clock makers to the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. In 1881 the company started importing movements from Switzerland, such as the one we have in this particular watch. The movement is later to the case although correct. The watch itself 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Cyclone model made by the Keystone watch case company. The case has light surface and some mild bruising to the back but overall it is in nice condition for a 1920s piece The acrylic lens is in nice condition. The signed dial has a faint hairline crack between 8 & 11 o'clock but otherwise it is in nice condition. The watch has its original blued steel hands.
