Early 19th Century English Regency antique rosewood bookcase with breakfront shape, offered in good condition.
A fine quality bookcase, the top section having 4 astragal glazed doors with working locks and keys and 6 height adjustable shelves inside.
The base has 4 panelled doors and a deep secretaire drawer with brass lion mask handles. The drawer pulls open and the front folds down to create a workspace with tan leather inset writing surface and the inside is fitted with pigeon holes and small drawers.
A further 5 shelves in the base cupboards, behind panelled doors with working locks and key.
Beautiful rosewood colour and well proportioned, this bookcase would be a positive addition to any home or office.
