The Vintage 1977 Solitaire Rubover Set Diamond Ring

This ring's diamond is held in a rubover illusion setting, to give the ring sparkle while reducing the risk of the diamond catching during daily wear. Held aloft in a raised gallery, the diamond is able to get light from above and below. The ring's shoulders are rounded like leaves and join to a plain band fully hallmarked by the Assay Office of Birmingham for 18ct gold in 1977.
