Victorian Fob Agate & Brass Pocket Watch Chain Antique 1890s Snuff Or Pill Box

Late 19th Century Victorian antique gentleman's large and highly impressive brass and banded agate stone pocket watch chain Antique snuff or pill box fob. Similar to the fobs I have supplied to Pinewood Studios. (Please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was very difficult to photograph). Measures; 3.5cm height (including the top ring), 2.5cm diameter, 1.6cm depth and weighs a very respectable 12.3 grams. Lovely brass 'drum' case which is beautifully adorned all around with a little Fleur Di Leys decoration, holding securely to top and bottom a bevel edge, highly polished large banded agate stone. The agate to the lid is very slightly more domed than the other and is a deep speckled red/orange colour with the stone to the base having more subdued banding of pale red, orange and grey (has a little natural fissure and one tiny 'flea nibble' to edge). Opens up correctly, closing well and the hinge is true and firm with absolutely no play. Lined to the base with bottle green baize which can easily be removed if desired. Original brass oval shaped side ring to attach to a Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with just a tiny bit of overall wear/patina and fine little surface scratches commensurate with age.
