Description

Here we have a lovely vintage silver matchbook case from the 1920s. It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present. It's made of sterling silver and the exterior has a pretty engineered pattern. In the top left corner of the lid has a blank rectangular cartouche. The hinge and clasp work well and the lid lifts to show a lovely gilded interior. It was made by William Neale & Son and it was Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1926. The makers mark and Hallmarks are on the inside of the case.

It weighs 32.5g. It measures 5.9cm by 4.5cm (just over 2 1/4 inches by 1 3/4 inches). The depth is approx 0.7cm (1/4 inch).
