Description
Stylish and extremely well made vintage teak and steel desk by Robin Day for Hille. This was part of the ‘Status’ range, designed in 1959 and made in England. This mmodel dates from the 1960’s.
The quality is outstanding, with solid teak construction, sitting on finely made stainless steel legs and with stainless steel handles on the drawers. This is very sturdy, the drawers have a single key to lock them both. This is nicely finished on the back, so can be used as a free standing item.
The Hille badge is seen in the top drawer, the top drawer also contains a removable plastic stationary tray that slides back and forth on a runner.
We have given this a clean and fresh oil polish, the condition is excellent for its age, there is just some very minor wear here and there.
