Art Deco Silver Bull Brooch + Ruby Eyes Hallmark London 1935 Louis Simpson & Co

I think this fellow is a Highland Cow rather than a bull. Rather friendly face either way. Complete with natural Ruby eyes, this antique brooch is certainly attention grabbing. The rubies are round old cut, measuring 2.4mm in diameter. They are a good, bright colour. The brooch itself is pretty heavy. It is solid silver & not hollow. There is a full set of 4 English hallmarks: London Assay Office, the Sterling Lion Passant, the date letter U for 1935. There is a makers mark of Ls – this is for Louis Simpson & Co, a recognised London jewellers ⭐ This art deco brooch weighs 18.4 grams ⭐ This brooch is 34mm long ⭐ This brooch is 21.8mm wide ⭐ The bull is 13mm deep This vintage brooch is in good condition. There is some tarnishing that could be removed if you wish. The ruby eyes are free from chips – one does have a little wear, but not eye visible. It is nearly 90 years old
