Description
Onyx, Sodalite & Silver Gilt Box. c1910. Fabulous and heavy, alabaster box with bright blue sodalite detail. Silver gilt piano hinge, bearing the mark for the silversmiths Hg&S, Henry Griffith & Sons Limited. This box was probably made for Asprey or Dunhills. Other than a tiny ding to one back corner, too small to get a proper image, in great condition. The hinge is crisp as is the gilding.
It measures 6 inches (15cm) wide by 4¼ inches (11cm) deep and 1¾ inches (4.5) tall.
