The Antique 18th Century Emerald Memorial Ring

This outstanding memorial ring from the year George II was coronated features an encapsulating step-cut emerald set in a bezel setting, of approximately 0.71ct. This fabulous ring features a unique scroll design which carries on around the whole band, separated with cross detailing. Within the scrolls, the words 'John Ravner Ob: 21 Nov, 1737' are spelt out with black enamel work. A wonderful piece of nearly 300 years in age. This ring, circa 1737, tests as 18ct. It has some wear to the enamel commensurate with age, and there is signs of wear to the emerald's setting. The emerald remains held, and does not shift under pressure.
