Privately published and sold by the Fulham Gallery by Tom Adams, which not only gave first exhibitions of some now famous artists, but was for several years the centre of the late '60's phenomenon - the poetry print. This was produced by and signed by Cecil Day-Lewis (the Poet Laureate) and artist Joseph Herman (1911-2000) and John Piper (1903-1992). The Colour off-set lithograph, on hand made wove paper, signed by the poet, Cecil Day Lewis and both artists in black pen and numbered from a total production of 150. Size 48.3 x 73.7cm plus borders. Hermann specialised in Welsh Miners and was a logical choice but as the 'Investiture' was foisted onto the Welsh it did not sell in Wales...... people of the valleys were not really in the market for overpriced London posters....This is from a part of the original 150 all mint condition from long term storage.
