Colour woodcut. It is on very delicate wove in a soft colour range, freshly cleaned as there was a faint matt burn present with original framers backboard and artists labels plus frame if wished ( showing its age)
**This is a different colour format to the more common bright blue sky version so possibly a preparatory trial**
One image is lightened/enhanced as it would be under electric light ie flash used.
Painter, printmaker and illustrator. Studied at the Royal College of Art and taught at the LCC School of Photo-Engraving and Lithography. He produced colour woodcuts which he exhibited at the Society of Graver Printers in Colour between 1930 and 1937
