Description

This is a delightful French School portrait of a pre revolutionary young woman with powdered hair adorned with flowers. She dates to about 1780, just prior to the French revolution.

17.5 x 14 inches (22 x 18.5 inches framed)

Declaration

Fox Fine Art has clarified that the French school portrait oil painting (11302 / LA82880) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1780.

Condition

Old canvas repair with associated overpainting left side of her face. Minor woodworm to the canvas strainer which has been treated. The frame is later and has minor age related wear and tear.
