OUR LATEST ACQUISITION:-
Veronica Rourke - A REMARKABLE PORTRAIT OIL PAINTING OF A LITTLE GIRL READING
An truly impeccably painted original Oil on board painting by:
The good sized work dates to Circa 1960-1970 and is painted in the 19th Century Victorian manner.
The fabulous image portrays a pretty young child leaning against the wall with a book in her hands whilst she cuddles the family Pooch.
This painting has at some stage been mounted in to a secondary superb quality Exhibition glazed frame, and from looking at these images one can see why as the painting is just simply incredible quality.
The attention to detail throughout this example is truly exceptional, with Rourke creating an almost photographical feel to the large Wilton carpet and the period, velvet wallpaper.
The painting can either be displayed in the exhibition frame behind glass or it can be displayed in the white stepped original inner frame as pictured.
Indeed, the photographs does not do this marvellous paintings justice, and we can absolutely guarantee that the new owner will be thrilled with their purchase.
Veronica Rourke is an artist we are not familiar with, and we have not researched her online, but a label on the reverse of the work indicates the framers to be based in Baldoyle, Dublin, so it could be that Rourke is an Irish Artist, although further research should be undertaken.

Our Fine Art Listing Terminology & Qualifiers
When a listing's heading reads ''by'' and is followed by the artist's full name (or the artist's initials, if his full name is unrecorded), the work is in our opinion by the artist.
When the term ''signed by'' is used, in our opinion the work has been signed by the artist.
When the expression "attributed to" is used, the work is in our opinion possibly a work by the artist, in whole or in part.
When the expression ''circle of'' is used, the work is in our opinion a work of the period of the artist and showing his influence.
When the expression ''follower of'' is used, the work is in our opinion a work executed in the artist's style but not necessarily by a pupil.
When the expression ''manner of'' is used, the work is in our opinion a work executed in the artist's style but of a later date.
When the term "after" is used, the work is in our opinion a copy or imitation (of any date) of a work by the artist.
When the term ''bears signature'' is used in our opinion the signature is by a hand other than that of the artist.
Thank you for looking, we hope to see you again soon.
