Carse Antiques has clarified that the large Georgian mahogany breakfront bookcase (LA15342) is antique and it's date/period of manufacture is 1825.

Condition

The piece is in good overall condition, it obviously has a few age knocks and dents etc. but there are no bad repairs. Most of the locks have been replaced with later 19th Century ones but they all have keys and are working. The way the shelves are held in has also been altered in the 19th Century from wooden pegs to brass pegs but this is a minor point. The colour is good and original.
