Navisford Eclectics was established to further my interest in antiques and collectables. The name comes from the Nene valley in Northamptonshire but Navisford Eclectics now finds its home at Widworthy Court, near Honiton in Devon. This is where you will find the majority of the items I have listed here and perhaps one or two others. I would be delighted to show them to you personally. Please call me to make an appointment. I look forward to hearing from you Nigel

Description

Three serving dishes and a plate from a 'Rose Barbeau' pattern dessert service created at Derby's Nottingham Road factory during the first quarter of the 19th Century. Each of the four elements carries the red hand painted Crown, Cross Batons with three dots and D mark used for Derby production between 1806 and 1825. The hand painted pink roses linked by cornflower and gilded fern swags of this popular Derby pattern continued on via the Kings Street and Osmaston Road factories well into the 20th Century. These rare early examples comprise a 28 cm oval serving dish, a 25 cm serving dish, a 25 cm scallop shaped serving dish and a single 22 cm plate.
