Antique Staffordshire Figure of a Cobbler with Ale c.1845
This lovely cheerful little Staffordshire figure depicts a seated cobbler wearing his leather work apron and holding a mug of ale. The figure has been hand painted in the round in overglaze polychrome enamels and under glaze cobalt blue for his jacket.

Wessex House Antiques has clarified that the Antique Staffordshire Figure of a Cobbler with Ale c.1845 (LA186486) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being c.1845

The figure is in very good condition with just a little rubbing to the enamel on the tip of his nose ( see photo) and some rubbing to the painted line around the base. Please inspect the photographs closely to assess the condition and quality of this genuine Victorian Staffordshire.
