Description
This attractive 19th Century Staffordshire figure depicts a boy and girl in an arbour of fruiting vine. He holds a basket of grapes and she sits and reaches up to pluck a bunch of grapes. The figure has been hand painted in overglaze enamels and cobalt blue for the jacket.

Wessex House Antiques has clarified that the Staffordshire Arbour Figure Group c.1850 (LA127937) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being c.1850
condition
There are no chips, cracks or restorations to the figure. There is a little paint wear to the overglaze enamels which is typical for this type of ware and tends to happen over time. There are a few surface glazing lines again very common in Staffordshire from this period. Please inspect the photographs closely to assess the condition and quality of this pretty piece.
