This is a magnificent Victorian 'Hepplewhite style' mahogany and caned childs high chair. The chair has a footrest and a restraining bar and a turned crossover underframe uniting the legs that is also used for attaching the chair to the base. Raised on a solid mahogany stand with turned front legs and sabre back legs, it converts into a highchair, but when separated it is used as a table and chair.

Bury Court Antiques has clarified that the Victorian mahogany 'Hepplewhite style' childs high chair (LA79565) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1880.
The chair is in excellent condition.
