Declaration

Antique Ethos has clarified that the Early George III Mahogany Chair in the Chippendale Style C.1760 (FR119 / LA151299) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being c.1760.

Condition

Chair is exceptional condition when considering its age. Historic knocks, wear and repairs as is to be expected with genuine antique furniture. All solid mahogany frames are sound and all joints solid. The chair retains its aged patination. Drop-in seat is currently upholstered with period needlepoint which is faded and has some small losses however we were reluctant to remove this. Ideal for restoration of the needlework or for a small additional cost, we can re-upholster its seat in your choice of fabric. Please see images as these form an important part of the description.
