Description

An extremely rare example of a 3 section military chest offered in good original condition. The solid oak top has protective brass corners and straps. Consisting of 2 short over 5 long drawers of solid oak dovetailed construction, with recessed brass military handles, brahma locks and circular brass escutcheons. English.

The chest splits into 3 sections for easy transportation, each section has its own pair of iron carrying handles on the sides. It stands on turned feet.

A chest like this would have been owned by a high ranking officer in the Victorian period.
