Condition

Overall this handsome piece is in usuable condition, but does have some wear consistent with age and use and would benefit from some tlc. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, which is heavy in places, and the piece is overall faded. The drawer runners are worn and would benefit from some attention. Some of the mouldings are a little loose. There is some knocking and indentation, and the top has some scratching, staining and a water mark to the front edge in one corner. There is some losss in places to the mother-of-pearl roundels in the centre of the handles. There are some signs of old restoration and repair. There are some signs of old woodworm damage, mainly to the feet - this is not active, but has been retreated as a precaution.
