Description

Antique Georgian early 19C oak mule chest, coffer or blanket box.

Solid, heavy and strong, with no loose joints.

Would make a great large Ottoman, blanket chest or coffee table with storage.

Iron handles to each end.

Full of character and rustic country charm.

Overall maximum dimensions:

129cmW x 59cmD x 48cmH, internally 115cmL x 49cmW x 37.5cmH.

Declaration

Prior & Willis Antiques has clarified that the Georgian oak mule chest / coffer / blanket box (3920 / LA14503) is antique and it's date/period of manufacture is 19th Century.

Condition

Historic knocks, marks, scratches, cracks, repairs and alterations as is always the way. Just a few extinct woodworm holes as would be expected, that have been treated for good measure. Later castors, but with some age. The male part of the lock is missing and there is no key.
