Description

A French mahogany arch top mantel clock with boxwood stringing and inlay to the front and chamfered base. The clock is raised on four brass ball feet and has an embossed brass bezel with a flat bevel edged glass and an unusual ornate cream and blue enameled dial with Fleur-de-lis brass hands. It has an French 8 day pendulum movement with count-wheel strike mechanism, striking the hours and half hours on a gong.

Declaration

Worboys Antiques has clarified that the mahogany and inlay striking mantel clock (LA51804) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1900.

Condition

The case is in good original condition. The brass-work is polished and lacquered to prevent tarnishing and the movement has been serviced at our own workshops and is sold with a 12 month guarantee.
