Description

A handsome 18th Century mahogany longcase clock with the dial signed James Berry, Pontefract. The case is in nicely figured mahogany with panels of inlay to the trunk door and base. The possibly associated 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a decorative brass dial with date indicator.

Declaration

Cross Antiques has clarified that the 18th Century walnut chest on stand (LA4693) is antique and it's date/period of manufacture is 1780.

Condition

The case is in good un-restored condition and has the odd veneer chip and scuff. The movement is in good running order and keeping good time.
