Description

This is a decorative 18th Century painted longcase clock by Richard Daking of Halstead, Essex. He is listed as working there around 1770.

The well proportioned case is in excellent condition. The attractive painted finish has recently been refreshed.

The 8 day, five pillar movement strikes the hours on a bell. It has a subsidiary seconds dial, working date indicator and the all important strike/silent selector.
The clock is in good working order and keeping good time.
