Description

This is a very nice 18th Century longcase clock by George Yeats of Malden, Surrey. The case is in nicely figured mahogany and it is in good unrestored condition. It has a typical 18th Century case with a long moulded door, moulded panel to the base and an arch topped case. It also has working locks and keys to both the trunk and hood doors.

The 8 day, 5 pillar movement strikes the hours on a bell. It has a very attractive brass dial with silvered chapter ring and smart gilt spandrels. To the arch is the all important strike / silent selector.
