A striking Bloor Derby tea cup produced around 1830. It is of shaped and moulded form with a gilded twisted scroll handle. The main body decorated inside and out with groups of summer flowers, hand-painted in bright enamel colours over a ground of small gilt dots. The base bears the printed crowned D, in red.
The cup stands 2 1/4 inches high and measures 3 3/4 inches in diameter.
Roger Stretch Antiques has clarified that the Bloor Derby Tea Cup, C.1830 (7319 / LA183235) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being c.1830.
In excellent, original, sound condition with no wear to the decoration.
