A very fine New Hall porcelain Bute shape cup and saucer, pattern number, 511, made around 1800. Both pieces decorated with finely engraved, bat printed designs within borders of gilt scrolls. Neither the cup or saucer is marked.
The cup stands 2 1/4 inches high and measures 3 1/4 inches in diameter. The saucer measures 5 1/4 inches in diameter.
Roger Stretch Antiques has clarified that the A New Hall Bute Shape Cup and Saucer, C.1800 (2219 / LA160655) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being c.1800.
Both pieces are in excellent, original, sound condition with no wear to the decoration.
