Description

We have for sale a lovely Flight Worcester trio consisting of a teacup, coffee cup and saucer.

The trio is of a wrythen form a decorated with a gilt floral bluebell design in cobalt blue and gilt on a white ground. The base of the teacup, coffee cup and and saucer all carry the Worcester open crescent mark.

The coffee cup is approximately 2 & 1/2 inches (6.3cm) high and the saucer is approximately 5 & 1/3 inches (13.5cm)in diameter. The trio date from approximately 1790. The coffee cup and Saucer are in a near perfect condition. The teacup although pretty much perfect in terms of decoration carries a faint hairline to the base of the handle, see photograph 4.

Penrose Antiques Ltd has clarified that the Flight Period Worcester Bluebell Pattern Trio (H0076 / LA80762) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1790.

Condition

The coffee cup and Saucer are in a near perfect condition. The teacup although pretty much perfect in terms of decoration carries a faint hairline to the base of the handle, see photograph 4.
