Description

Superb George III Chippendale solid cuban mahogany architect's desk with long top drawer and side cupboards enclosing drawers and pull forward drawer unit to kneehole. All drawers oak lined and still retain their original brass handles and escutcheons. The opening folding cleated top supported at back, when open, by the original metal brackets which fold flat when not in use. Original side carrying handles and original casters within original bracket feet. All in fine condition, lovely colour with great waxed patina. The interior to be green beige lined at no extra cost, but can be done in leather if required at cost of £150. A rare item of library furniture.
