Description

An amazing original mahogany officers campaign desk, probably by Ross and co of Dublin. This striking desk has been fully restored to the highest standard, with a lovely rich red colour. Original handles and castors with new sympathetic leathers fitted brought back to its former glory. The 5 drawers are all lined with mahogany, the centre of the top lifts and is supported from behind to create a slope for working on, the wonderful carved legs are typical of the 1840’s and 1850’s. A great gentleman’s desk.

The legs simply unscrew and fit inside the drawers, this was for ease of transport when going on military campaigns.
