Description

This is a fine George II English antique small wine or cordial glass, having an ogee bowl with distinctive basal rib moulding and a slightly tapering plain stem above a broad, high conical folded foot with snapped pontil.

There are strong striations to the bowl, along with a single visible bubble. The wear to the foot rim is appropriate for a glass of this age. There is also the faint trace of a painted collector's or museum mark to the underside of the foot near the pontil (See picture 9, possibly a series of numbers?).

If you have any questions regarding this glass please don't hesitate to contact me.

Measurements

The glass measures 13.5 cm in height with a rim diameter of 5 cm and a foot diameter of 7.5 cm. Weight is 128 grams.
