These fine George III sterling silver chambersticks (chamber candlesticks) have a plain circular form.
The upper portion of the plain bell shaped capital is embellished with a band of thread decoration.
The wax pan of each chamberstick is ornamented with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting a grassy mount thereon a ram couchant.
Each chamber candlestick retains the original detachable hallmarked sconce and the original detachable hallmarked snuffer.
The snuffers have a conical form and are surmounted by simplified urn style finials.
These impressive snuffers are ornamented with the aforementioned engraved crest to the wax pan.
The rims of the wax pans, snuffers and sconces are encompassed with further applied thread decorated borders.
Each antique silver chamberstick is fitted with a shaped handle featuring a plain thumbpiece and receiver socket for the snuffer.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of antique Georgian silverware.
