Description

This is a handsome 19thC pewter Coffee Pot or Hot Water Jug with a hinged lid. It is elegantly slim with a fine swan neck spout and nicely embellished handle with a thumb grip.

It is stamped underneath with the makers name - James Dixon and sons Sheffield. Dixons company of silversmiths, platers and Britannia metal workers was started in 1806 and traded under the name James Dixon and sons from 1835 - 1920

There is a small dent to the lid so the knob is now out of true alignment, otherwise it is in very good condition.
