This is a very nice example of an original Tekke Turkoman carpet which has three rows of fourteen gull medallions set on a central camel coloured field surrounded by warm, madder red borders.
This is in excellent order overall and retains most of its original long fringes.
The Tekke has good, finely woven detail in soft wool with a low even pile and no wear. The carpet measures 195 cms by 135 cms.
