Description

This is a lovely and very heavy antique sterling silver table or serving spoon made by J S Hunt who was silversmith to Queen Victoria and it is clearly hallmarked for London 1858.

It is in very good condition and clearly has had little use. It is of Elizabethan pattern which is ornate and crisply done and there is an engraving of a bird on the handle. A heavy gauge of silver has been used (it weighs 3.75 ounces) and hallmarks re clearly struck.

A fine serving spoon from this highly respected Royal silversmith.
